Just in case anyone missed it, here is Jacob's post from a few weeks ago, and his most recent update. I wasn't planning to announce when Ocean is due (there's often some processing time for me in between an event and and my blogging about it), but Jacob and I are on the same page that he's always free to post the updates he wants even if I'm slower to share. So, when I say watch for a birth announcement this summer or fall, basically what that means is that you might see a birth announcement from Jacob in the summer, or if he doesn't post, you'll likely see a birth announcement from me by the fall, haha.

Ocean's Growth

Ocean 20 week Ultrasound
Jacob and I were blessed to be there in person for Ocean's 20 week ultrasound! We made the drive over, and it was so pleasant to be able to have lunch with Leah and her husband Mateo before the appointment. It's a 3-hour drive, so this is the first time we've seen Leah in person since embryo transfer day. Baby was very active during the appointment. There is a warmth in my soul with such eager anticipation to meet my child outside the womb, but until that day, I rest in the gentle peace of knowing my little one is in good hands. Grow, Ocean, grow!

Baby Bump
Not much to say in this post, I just wanted to share this belly bump picture that Leah sent me. Eee! Yay! Grow, baby, grow!

Made for Another World
I love Aslan and Narnia so much. What a beautiful allegory of the Love of Christ. This particular quote comes from one of C.S. Lewis' other books, which I have not read, but the quote itself paired with the image of Aslan is breathtaking. How beautiful it is to know and cherish the reality that we are made for more than this life has to offer, we are made for a heavenly homeland.

Geography as a Nanny
This is a very useful website that allows you to print out maps on multiple sheets of paper, which can easily then be trimmed and taped together.
For the last few months I've been working on a geography project with one of my nanny kids, and his mother said we should put them up in the play room. Viola! We're not done yet, but it's a start. It's fun. And I'm looking forward to doing projects like this with my own children in the coming years. :)
